Things to Consider
Happy Cats will use their best judgment in caring for your cats and
home. If we are servicing you at the time of inclement weather,
Happy Cats will try to carry out your instructions to the best of our
ability. The care we provide to our customers' cats and their safety
is our first concern. The inclement weather plan will be as follows:
1) Every effort will be made to drive to your home; 2) The service
schedule may be changed, interrupted, altered due to
circumstances, with your permission- stay at your home, or remove
cats from your home and care for them at my home; 3) If it is not
possible to drive safely to your home, your emergency contact will
be notified, 4) You will be notified that the above-mentioned
contingency plan has been activated.

I am the primary caretaker of your animals. The only other person to
take care of your pets would be my husband. He would only take
the appointment if I was unable to make it to your home.

I do know animal first aid, and carry reference books to help me in
rendering first aid. I will not be a substitute to veterinary care, but
will give support to your pet to stabilize them before transporting
them to the vet.

You have hired Happy Cats to be responsible for your cats and
home. I will make basic decisions regarding your cats and home.
However, I will contact you if something arises which I feel needs
your attention.

Please inform me of any behavioral issues or personality traits of
your cats. This might include but is not limited to: escape artists,
diggers, chewers, wanderers, biting, vomiting and cats with hairball
problems.

It is important to let me know if you have an ill animal, or one that is
susceptible to becoming ill. Remember, I see many animals in a
day. I take measures to reduce the chances of carrying illnesses
from one home to another, but you can see where it would be
helpful to have that information.

For both of our benefits, please notify your security company that a
representative of Happy Cats will be on your premises during your
scheduled absence.

By the same token, if you have any concerned or nosy neighbors,
please let them know I will be at your house during your absence.
Meeting the sheriff's deputies first thing in the morning or after dark
isn't fun for anyone.
